Maktab for boys and girls of 5 years of age and up will be held from Monday through Thursday 6:30pm for 1 and half hours. Registration for the SUMMER program session will start soon.

PLAYGROUP IN MAKTAB AT AMDA
Playgroup for boys and girls from 2 to 4 years of age is enrolling students. Classes are currently held on Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 8:00pm Registration for the program is in progress. Please see following for details. https://pg-maktab.amda.us/

- Begin a loving relationship with the mosque from early age
Note: Quran Recitation Correction, Quran Study Circle & Seerah classes (optionnal) will be held for parents at the same time.

Our structured maktab will consists of:
1) Trained and capable teachers who can relate and communicate well with the students
2) Periodic assessments to maintain educational quality
3) A comprehensive curriculum consisting of the following:
- Recitation of the Quran with fluency and tajweed
- Correct pronunciation
- Focus on reciting fluently, without stopping
- Waqf (stopping) rules
- Exception rules
- Mashq (stretching) rules,
- Memorization of Revelations:
- Surahs
- Daily prayers of the Prophet (S)
- Hadith
- Learning the Basics of Islam:
- Aqidah (foundations of Iman, refuting atheism, etc.)
- Fiqh (purity, prayers, business, family, halal/haram, fasting, charity, hajj, funeral, inheritance, Islamic calendar, interaction with other faith members, etc.)
- Akhlaq & Adab (manners and etiquettes with parents, neighbors, siblings, teachers, colleagues, classmates, business partners, community members, animals, etc.)
- Hadith (Sayings, actions, and approvals of our Prophet Muhammad(S) )
- Sirah and Tarikh (biography of our Prophet (S) and the history of Islam)
- Implementation of Islamic Practices:
- Purity, wudhu, salah
- Instilling sunnah habits (eating, sleeping, bathroom, dressing, personal hygiene, etc.)
- application of prayers of the Prophet (S) in daily life
- moral and character development in practical life
- practicing khidmah (serving others: parents, siblings, and all people in general)
Textbooks and Workbooks:
The popular An-Nasihah Series which is currently being used in over 1,000 institutions world-wide.

$100 per month.

Since it is an obligation for each Muslim child to learn the fundamentals of Islam, sponsors can be arranged for those who cannot afford the fees.
