Monthly Report
April 2021
- Delivered a khutba on April 2nd on the topic: “Welcoming Ramadan.”
- Gave the 4th weekly lecture on the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (S) on Friday, April 2. The talk was live-streamed.
- A conversion to Islam took place at AMDA before Salat ul Asr on April 2nd by a formerly Christian brother (Mr. Brendan Charles Sheahan) who declared his Islamic Shahadah (testimony of faith) in presence of witnesses.
- On invitation given by AMDA’s board, participated in the board meeting held on Sunday, April 4 to discuss all issues related to holding tarawih prayers during Ramadan.
- Gave the 5th weekly lecture on the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (S) on Friday, April 9. The talk was live-streamed.
- The second Covid vaccine drive took place at AMDA from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 11.
- Informed the board of my intention to edit and upload the 24 transcripts of the ‘Stories of the Prophets’ and about the same number of transcripts of the ‘Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (S)’ on AMDA’s website.
- Delivered a khutba on April 16th on the topic: “Ramadan and Taqwa.”
- Drive-thru iftar was served at AMDA on Sunday, April 18th.
- Delivered a khutba on April 23rd on the topic: “Spending for the Sake of Allah.”
- Gave a short introductory speech on occasion of AMDA’s fundraising event on April 24.
- Delivered a khutba on April 30th on the topic: “Ramadan: Month of mercy, forgiveness, and safety from hellfire.”
- Starting April 20th a series of short daily reminders (before iftar) called “Ramadan Reflection” highlighting a few aspects of the holy month of were live streamed. A 10-12 minutes talk by me was followed by a short dua by Brother Rumman Ahmed.
- Delivered a short tafsir of few verses of the Qur’an every day after Salat ul-Fajr.
- Edited and uploaded transcripts of khutbahs on AMDA’s website.
