June, 2019

 

  • Conducted the Salat ul-Eid ul-Fitr and delivered the Eid khutba on Tuesday, June 4th at AMDA Masjid.

 

  • Delivered a khutba on Friday, June 7th on the topic: “Iman and its Implications.”

 

  • On occasion of the Friday Night Family Event on June 7th gave a talk on the topic: “Fasting six days of Shawwal after Ramadan.”

 

  • On an invitation given by the Community – REPS-MEP, attended the Eid Lunch hosted by them to a group of ‘converts to Islam’ on Sunday, June 9th at La Marsa Restaurant (3720 Rochester Rd, Troy, MI 48083).
  •  

  • AMDA’s First Summer Camp kicked off to a start on Monday, June 17th to provide children a summer filled with fun, field trips and learning. 

 

  • As one of the certified speakers of the Islamic Network Group (ING), gave a lecture / presentation on June 18th from 6:00 pm to 7:40 pm to college students of Macomb Community College (Center Campus 44575 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48038).

 

  • Attended the Imam’s Council Meeting at the Muslim Unity Center, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan on June 19th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Honorable Judge Charlene Elder talked about issues related to Islamic marriage and divorce.

 

  • Conducted a pre-marital counseling session with the prospective spouses – Ms. Atika Kamran Butt and Mr. Samir Shoukat Haiderali on Wednesday, June 19th at AMDA. Their Nikah was officiated by me on Friday, June 21st at the Farmington Hills Manor (23666 Orchard Lake Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48336).

 

  • Delivered a khutba on Friday, June 28th on the topic: “Responding to Allah (SWT).”

 

  • Called a meeting of ‘new converts to Islam’ at AMDA on Saturday, June 29 at 1:30 pm and earlier on Saturday, June 22 at 1:00 pm to have a friendly chat with them and to address any queries they had about Islam and Muslims. Br Amer Sufi (board member) helped in organizing the meeting.

 

  • Conducted Qur’an classes every Wednesdays and Thursdays at AMDA.

 

  • Delivered a short tafsir of few verses of the Qur’an after Salat ul-Fajr every day.
