September, 2017
- Was on vacation from August 29th to Sept 13th.
- Delivered a khutba on Friday, Sept 15th on the topic: “Volunteering for the Sake of Allah.”
- Br Abdur Rahman of our community delivered a khatira after Fajr prayers on Saturday, Sept 16th.
- Participated in the “Diversity Dinner” hosted by the City of Sterling Heights on Sept 21st. AMDA was one of the sponsors of this event.
- Delivered a khutba on Friday, Sept 22nd on the topic: “Sacred Month of Muharram.”
- Participated in AMDA’s Open-House Day on Sept 23rd.
- Invited Imam Aly Lela (IAGD) and Imam Mohamed Almasmari (Unity Center) to be speakers at our proposed ‘Sirah Conference’ to be held inshaAllah on Dec 1st/2nd. Both the Imams agreed to be speakers at the event.
- Invited Br Syed Raziuddin Ali—a Geologist by profession and resident of Bahrain to give his well-known ATMT (Awareness Through Mosque Tour) presentation at AMDA on Friday, October 6th at 7:00 pm on occasion of the Friday Night Family Event. He was kind enough to accept the invitation.
- Attended an inter-faith meeting on Thursday, Sept 28th at a Mormon Church: ‘The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ located at 37425 Woodward Ave, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48303.
- Invited Dr. Muhammad Ramzi to deliver the Friday Khutba on Sept 29 He was kind enough to accept the invitation and delivered the 1:30 pm khutba.
- Delivered the 3:40 pm khutba on Friday, Sept 29th on the topic: “Why is there Suffering in this World?”
- Delivered a khatira after Fajr prayers on Saturday, Sept 30th.
- Delivered a short tafsir of few verses of the Qur’an every day after Salat ul Fajr.
- The weekly Quran classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays were suspended during the month of Ramadan and were resumed after Eid ul-Fitr.
- The “Ideal Muslim Halaqa” series was conducted on every Friday after Maghrib prayers other than on the first Friday of the month.
