June, 2017
- Delivered a khutba on Friday, June 2nd on the topic: “Ramadan – A Blessed Month.”
- Delivered a khutba on Friday, June 9th on the topic: “Ramadan – A Time to Purify Our Hearts.”
- Delivered a speech on the occasion of AMDA’s Fundraising Iftar/Dinner on Saturday, June 10th at the Balkan American Community Center in the city of Troy.
- Organized the list of community members who went into “Itikaf” (spiritual retreat) in the AMDA Masjid during the last ten days of Ramadan.
- Coordinated with Br Mohsen Omar—an AMDA community member, to organize the congregational tahajjud prayer in the Masjid led by Shaykh Atef Ahmed Ibrahim Ali in the last ten nights of Ramadan.
- Coordinated with Br Mohsen Omar—an AMDA community member, to organize a short talk by Imam Shamsid-Deen to raise funds for AMDA on the 27th night of Ramadan (June 22nd) after Salat ul-Isha.
- Delivered a khutba on Friday, June 23rd on the topic: “Ramadan – A Month to Rediscover the Qur’an.”
- Conducted the Salat ul-Eid and delivered the Eid ul-Fitr Khutba on Sunday, June 25th.
- Conducted a pre-marriage counseling session with a prospective couple (Imran & Shahreen) on Monday, June 26th.
- Conducted a pre-marriage counseling session with a prospective couple (Shaffwan & Maisha) on Thursday, June 29th.
- The “Ideal Muslim Halaqa” series was conducted by Assistant Imam—Br Rumman Ahmed after Maghrib prayers on Friday, June 30th.
- On my request, my son—Dr. Yousuf Haque, delivered the 1:40 pm Friday khutba at AMDA on June 30th.
- Delivered a short tafsir of few verses of the Qur’an every day after Fajr Salah.
- The weekly Quran classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays were suspended during the month of Ramadan to be resumed after Eid ul Fitr inshaAllah.
