Monthly Report
February 2016
· Delivered Friday Khutba at AMDA on Feb 5th and 26th.
· Delivered Friday Khutba at IONA on Feb 19th.
· Delivered/organized Khatira after Fajr Salah on Saturdays.
· Conducted the weekly Wednesday and Thursday Qur’an class.
· Weekly Sisters’ Halaqas were conducted in the Masjid.
· The Muslim Youth of AMDA organized a bowling event on Feb 6th.
· The Muslim Youth of AMDA organized a presentation on the topic: ‘Ambassadors of Islam’ on Friday, February 26th at 7:00 pm. The guest speaker was Brother Shafi Ahmed.
· A new feature was added to AMDA’s website with the facility to upload transcripts of khatiras and talks delivered by me. Henceforth, this will be done on a regular basis.
· Involved new speakers from the community including the youth to deliver khutbas and khatiras at AMDA. Some of these are brothers: Masroor Ahmed, Mohammed Al-Omari, Hafiz Gibrael, Noor Alam, and Abdul Ghafur.
· Drafted the letter addressed to the American Ambassador to Egypt soliciting his help to approve issuance of visit visa to Sheikh Ahmed Essam Salaheldin Aly, an Egyptian national, whom AMDA desires to invite for leading the tarawih prayers during Ramadan.
