  • Delivered the weekly Friday khutbas.

  • Led the Eid al-Adha Salat and delivered the Eid Khutba.

  • Edited and emailed transcripts of khutbas for uploading on AMDA’s website.

  • Conducted the weekly Qur’anic Arabic Class on Thursdays in the Masjid (to be continued as a regular feature).

  • Delivered the weekly Saturday khatira.

  • Delivered a short talk on Sirah after Maghrib prayers on Tuesdays (to be continued as a regular feature).

  • Delivered a short talk on Tafsir after Maghrib prayers on Wednesdays (to be continued as a regular feature).

  • Recited a few verses from the Qur’an and read their translations in English after Fajr prayers every day (to be continued as a regular feature).

  • Conducted the first Nikah (marriage) ceremony and issued the first AMDA approved ‘Marriage Certificate’.

  • Wrote to AMDA Board with my recommendations for AMDA to sponsor a table for $500/- on the occasion of MMCC’s 28th Annual Unity Dinner on November 2, 2014.

  • Suggested to Board to have a ‘Rule of Conduct’ Chart displayed in the Masjid for the purpose of observing the etiquettes of the Masjid.

  • Introduced Imam Sejad Melkis before the Friday Prayers on Oct 24. He delivered the khutba and asked the community to help him raise funds for Masjid al-Furqaan situated on 12 Mile Road.   

  • Wrote to Shaykh Moiz Hasan to be a guest khatib/speaker at AMDA on a regular basis.

  • Wrote to Br Majed Mahmoud to be a guest khatib at AMDA.

  • Wrote to Br Omar Malik (youth leader at IONA) to be a guest khatib at AMDA.

  • Wrote to Imam Sejad Melkis (Imam of the Bosnia Community) to be a guest khatib at AMDA.

  • Obtained a web link from Omid Gul son of Br Chari (known to the Masjid) that may be conducive to sending out emails to our subscribers for khatiras, talks, youth activities, and other events held at AMDA.

  • Talked with several members of the Board and other key members of the AMDA community regarding arriving at a collective decision for the timings of the two Jumu’ah prayers to be effective from November, 2014.

  • In my email addressed to Br Dr. Muhammad Azim, and copied to the Board members and others, made various suggestions that could be taken up for discussion at the next/future Board meetings.
