Joint Meeting – April 21, 2012 (Special – 1) held at AMDA Masjid from 3pm

Attendees are: Moin Asjad, Muhammad Azim, Sr. Rubab Huq, Javid Khatri, Mujibus Khan, Mahiuddin Ahmed, Habeeb Syed, Moin Mirza (On Phone), Abu Ashraf (SC).
Attendance required for quorum: Eight.
Attending number of members: Nine.
The following topics were discussed, proposals made and adopted by the members present.
* Thank you proposal passed for Br. Rafique Foflonker’s service to the community. An email from amdaonline@yahoo.com will be sent to Br. Rafique’s email address on file from Members of Board of Trustees, Board of Representatives and Standing Committee. Email wording drafted and passed.
* State of the organization
– Board of Trustees takes the leadership to execute the finalized and voted decision regarding personnel, Board of Representatives can join in and contribute to the process. (Yes – 7; No – 1)
– Part time Imam position is eliminated effective May 1, 2012. One full time Imam and One Academy (Sunday School) Principal position is created with an effective date of May 1, 2012. Standard hiring process will be followed that includes advertisement and interview. Any eligible individual can apply for these positions. Advertisement for the newly created two positions will only be published after information regarding this decision is conveyed to appropriate individuals. (Yes – 7; No – 1)
– Effective immediatedly, no event and speaker will be scheduled at AMDA until written pre-approval is attained from Board (BOT or BOR). Effective immediatedly, only board (BOT & BOR) will schedule Khatib, Imam and Speakers.
– It was brought to boards (BOT & BOR) attention that Imam Salie has announced on April 20, 2012 khutba that he will not be available to provide service during last part of April. Email will be sent to Imam Salie from amdaonline@yahoo.com to get confirmation on this information and to arrange for Khatib for April 27, 2012.
– Br. Azim to send meeting notice for boards next meeting on May 5.
– Br. Azim to schedule Board of Trustees meeting within next 2 days in preparation to execute the finalized and voted decision regarding Imam transition plan.
