Joint Meeting – October 2011

Chaired by: Br. Habeeb Syed

Attendees are: Nurul Amin, Moin Asjad, Muhammad Azim, Ferdous Ghazi, Anwar Hussain, Moudud Rahman, Javid Khatri, Rafique Foflonker, Abul Hashem Molla, Moin Mirza, Habeeb Syed.
Attendance required for quorum: Nine.
Attending number of members: Eleven.

The following topics were discussed and proposals made and adopted by the members present.

1. Last monthy Meeting Minutes/Notes: Approved without modification.

2. Sunday School: Education sub-committee will temporarily look after day to day activities of the academy.

3a. Eid Jamah: There were some issues in reserving Balkan center for Eid. Br. Nurul Amin will follow up with Balkan center and will update the status by Friday (10/7/2011). If Balkan center is not available, then Larson Middle School will be reserved for Eid prayer.

3b. If Balkan Center is not available for evening potluck is planned at Chineese Community center.

3c. Eid tasks and activities, AMDA board agreed to follow the same assignments as followed during Ramadan Eid.

4. Moin Mirza Farewell : AMDA community will miss Moin Mirza & Family as they are planning to relocate to Italy. To appreciate their efforts to AMDA community, special event is planned during Eid celebrations.

5. Masjid Construction: Construction tender/bid sub-committee will follow up on open items with Architect.

6. Finance: General operation fund status and Construction fund status was presented.

7. Meeting attendance by members of different boards – Attendance of Board members in board meetings and community activities are required by constitution. Chair person to contact members who are not present for three consecutive regular frequency meeting intended for each board (Trustee regular meeting frequency – Once each quarter; Represntative & Standing Committee regular meeting frequency – Once each month; Meetings beyond regular frequency are special meetings for respective members). Continuing absence beyond time as mentiond in the constitution may initiate action per the constitution.
