Joint Meeting – May 2011

Attendees: Rafique Foflonker, Habeeb Syed, Moin Asjad, Moudud Rahman, Anwar Hussain, Rubab Huq, Javid Khatri, Hafizur rahman and Muhammed Azim.

The following topics were discussed and proposals made and adopted by the members present.
1. AMDA Academy Graduation: Detail responsibilities were discussed. Food arrangement : Decided to request a $10 donation from each family to cover the partial cost of the lunch.
2. AMDA Horizon newsletter: Next issue will be available for distribution to members in one week. Due to shortage of volunteers, the newsletter needs a critical review of its future status. Newsletter format will be standarize for ease of use.
3. Friday Khutba / Monthly guest speaker speech on website: Stay tuned for the future development.
4. Status of Masjid construction project: Preliminary site plan is approved by the city, progress in construction drawing is ongoing.
5. Status of Annual Financial Report: Work in progress.
6. Reviving the Steering Committees proposed last year: Requested current steering committee to revitalize their respective groups.
7. Financial assistance for Asst Imam medical treatment: Communicate to Imam about board decision.
Walk in Item: Ramadan Fundraising–Board like to have a brain storming meeting this coming Saturday, May 14, 3:30 PM @AMDA Mosjid. All board members, please invite community leaders who are interested to assist us in the fundraising to attend this meeting.
