Monthly Report

January, 2020

• NAHAR Relief -- a non-profit organization gave their presentation on occasion of the Friday Night Family Event on Friday, Jan 3, 2020.  

• Delivered a khutba on Friday, January, 10^th on the topic: “Avoidance of Sins Committed by the Limbs.”

• Delivered a khatira after Fajr prayer on Saturday, January, 11^th on the topic: “Gratitude to Allah (SWT).”

• Starting Monday, January 13^th, conducted jointly with Br Johar Sheikh, a weekly course about the basic understanding of the Qur’an. This twelve weeks course will be conducted every Monday in sha' Allah, one hour before the  Isha Prayer. 

• Had a meeting with Sister Zarinah El Amin – founder of ‘Book Power Publishing’ on Tuesday, January 14^th to discuss the printing and publishing of my upcoming book: ‘Fiqh of Friday Prayer and a Collection of khutbahs.’

• Took part in a webinar conducted by Islamic Networks Group (ING) on Tuesday, January 14^th in which Sister Amina Jandali (Director ING National) discussed the typically difficult and sometimes hostile questions asked by non-Muslims regarding Islam and Muslims and how to go about answering such questions.

• Attended the Imam Council Meeting held at IONA in the city of Warren on Wednesday, January 15^th.

• Delivered a khutba on Friday, January, 17^th at IONA Masjid in the city of Warren on the topic: “Islamic View of Religious Pluralism.”

• Sent an email to the Board on Jan 18^th regarding completion of the manuscript of my proposed book on the ‘Fiqh of Friday Prayer and a Collection of khutbahs.’ A request was made to sponsor the publishing of the book.

• Sent an email to the Board on Jan 19^th regarding forming a committee to start working on AMDA’s First Annual Qur’an Conference to be held on April 11, 2020.

• Took part in a webinar conducted by Islamic Networks Group (ING) on Tuesday, January 21st in which Sister Amina Jandali (Director ING National) gave a presentation on the topic: “Muslim Contributions to Civilization.”

• Delivered a khutba on Friday, January, 24^th on the topic: “Da’wah.”

• Delivered a khatira after Fajr prayer on Saturday, January, 25^th on the topic: “Da’wah.” This was more or less a summary or synopsis of my khutbah on the same topic. 

• Conducted the weekly ‘Welcoming New Muslims Meeting’ on Saturdays.

• Held Quran classes on every Wednesday and Thursday.

• Delivered a short tafsir of few verses of the Qur’an after Salat ul-Fajr every day.
