Monthly Report

November, 2019

• Delivered two khutbas (1^st and 3^rd Jummah) on Friday, November 1^st on the topic: “Importance of Studying the Seerah.”

• Delivered a khatira after Fajr prayer on Saturday, November 1^st on the topic: “Principles of Success in the Light of the Seerah.”

• Introduced the guest speakers to the audience in the two days AMDA’s Annual Seerah Conference on November 1^st and 2^nd. Also, gave a talk on the topic: “Educating and building the next generation of American Muslims in light of the Seerah.”

• Emailed to the board to consider having an ‘Annual Quran Conference’ and an ‘Annual Open House’ as regular annual features at AMDA. Also reiterated my previous suggestion of having a YouTube account for AMDA to cover conferences and other activities, as and when desired.

• Delivered a khatira after Fajr prayer on Saturday, November 9^th on the topic: “Making Best Use of time.”

• Delivered a khatira after Fajr prayer on Saturday, November 16^h on the topic: “What does it mean to be a friend (wali) of Allah?”

• Conducted Br Tim’s “Declaring the Testimony of Faith” (shahadah) after Dhuhr prayer on Saturday, November 16^th.

• Gave a lecture on ‘Getting to know American Muslims and their Faith’ to a group of students studying ‘World Religions’ at the Oakland Community College on Thursday, November 21^st from 6:00-7:30 pm.

• Delivered a khutba on Friday, November 22^nd on the topic: “Concept of God in the Qur’an.”

• Conducted the weekly ‘New Muslims Support Group Meeting’ every Saturday. 

• Held Quran classes on every Wednesday and Thursday.

• Delivered a short tafsir of few verses of the Qur’an after Salat ul-Fajr every day.

• Was on vacation leave of 5 days in the last week of November.
