· Conducted Tahajjud prayers in the Masjid on Saturday, August 1. InshaAllah, Tahajjud prayers will be conducted on every first Saturday or first Sunday of the month, as a part of AMDA’s regular religious activities.
· Gave a talk on the topic: ‘Coping with Losses’ on the occasion of the Friday Night Family Event on August 8. Following the talk, special dua was made for Br Anwarul Islam (AMDA’s long time adviser) who passed away recently.
· Delivered Jumu’ah khutba on Friday, August 8 at IONA in the city of Warren on the topic: ‘What is Iman?’
· Attended the MMCC – ALIM Leadership Forum on Sunday, August 16 at Tawheed Center, Farmington Hills. The Forum consisting of local Imams, chaplains, youth directors and community leaders discussed some of the complex and contentious issues they face while leading the American Muslim Community.
· Muslim Youth of AMDA (MYAMDA) organized a talk on Friday, August 28 after Maghrib prayers on the topic: ‘The Power of Tawakkul: Trust and Reliance on Allah (SWT).’ The speaker was Hafiz Gibrael Barlaskar.
· Conducted the ongoing Qur’an cum Arabic Class in the Masjid twice a week.
· Invited Dr. Ramzi, Ex Principal of IAGD’s Sunday school to give the first Jumu’ah khutba at AMDA Masjid on Friday, August 28.
· Liaised with Br. Mohammed Alomari, member of Sterling Height’s Ethnic Community Committee and Br. Abul Bashar Patwary, trustee of AMDA’s Board to have the latter apply to the City to be appointed as one of the members of the Ethnic Community Committee.
· Attended the Imams Workshop: ‘Prepare-Enrich & Marriage Mentor Training’ at IONA on Monday, August 31.
