Monthly Report
(March 2021)
- Delivered a khutba on March 5 on the topic: “Purification of the Soul.”
- Gave the first weekly lecture on the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (S) on Friday, March 12. There will be about 20 lectures in all. The talk was live-streamed.
- Delivered a khutba on March 19 on the topic: “Merits of the Month of Sha’ban.”
- Gave the 2nd weekly lecture on the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (S) on Friday, March 19. The talk was live-streamed.
- Gave the 3rd weekly lecture on the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (S) on Friday, March 26. The talk was live-streamed.
- A conversion to Islam took place at AMDA after Salat ul Jumu’ah on March 26th by a formerly Christian brother who declared his Islamic Shahadah (testimony of faith).
- Invited new khateebs to deliver khutbas at AMDA.
- The Covid vaccine drive took place at AMDA from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 28th.
- On a request made by Sr Summi Akhter, the Director of ICNA Relief Michigan (Muslim Family Services) to have a vaccine drive organized at MSF, connected her with our respected board member, Sr Marina Azim who is working along with Dr. Wahid to have this drive done in partnership with AMDA in the near future.
- Delivered a short tafsir of few verses of the Qur’an every day after Salat ul-Fajr.
- Conducted detailed tafsir of the Qur’an and readings from ‘Islamic Studies’ with members of the community every Sunday.
- Conducted Tajweed class with members of the community every Monday.
- Conducted Qur’an class with members of the community Monday through Friday.
- Edited and uploaded transcripts of khutbahs on AMDA’s website.
- A weekly ‘Tafsir of the Qur’an’ session was live streamed every Friday by Hafiz Ifdhal Khan.
- A fortnightly ‘Stories of the Sahaba’ session was live streamed every alternate Thursday by Assistant Imam – Rumman Ahmed.
