Full Time Imam

American Muslim Diversity Association (AMDA), a growing Muslim community of diverse ethnicities has an opening for a full time qualified Imam for its Masjid in Sterling Heights, Michigan location. Preference will be given to candidates who are Hafiz in Quran and Alim, and can meet the challenges of a full time Imam to fulfill the spiritual needs of the community. Salary and benefits are commensurate with qualification and experience.

Detail Guideline for attending congregational prayer

Jamat will be held with reduced capacity.  Volunteers will be there to count.  Once the Masjid is full musalles will be requested to wait till next Jamat.

Representative Board will regularly monitor pandemic situation and review recommendation from experts to provide update on congregational prayers.

Jamat Guideline

Jamat will be held strictly following CDC and State of Michigan guideline. To attend jamat, musallees must follow the guideline below:

  • Body Temperature not above 100.4°F/38°C
  • Not been in close contact (within 6 ft) with someone who has COVID-19
  • Not under 16
  • We strongly recommend musallees over 65 to perform Salah at home
  • Wudu at home (Restroom will be closed)
  • Sanitize hand before coming to Masjid
  • Have face mask on
  • Have sanitized personal prayer rug
  • Bring personal Holy Quran if you want to recite at Masjid (Shelf is sealed)
  • Have bag to carry shoes inside the mosque (shoe racks will be closed)
  • Bring water bottle if required (water fountain is closed)
  • Stand at marked spot only (blue & green tape)
  • Stand on personal prayer rug
  • Maintain 6ft physical distance
  • After Fard Salah please evacuate the prayer hall (Sunnah at home)
  • Follow direction to evacuate the prayer hall (Please do not rush to exit)
  • Do not hug or shake hands
  • Hand sanitizer has been placed near exit for musalles use
  • Do not congregate near the hand sanitizer stand
  • Only fard salah at Masjid
  • Follow volunteer direction to enter and exit masjid

FOOD FOR UNDER PRIVILEGED PEOPLE

AMDA Community serves food to Muslim and non-Muslim under privileged people on 3rd Saturday of every month at Soup Kitchen of DETROIT Muslim Center.
We encourage you to participate in this great cause by either cooking food or sharing the cost of food being purchased.

 ANNOUNCEMENT

Considering the current COVID-19 Pandemic situation, AMDA Board has decided to suspend/postpone the following "On Premises" activities at the AMDA Masjid until further notice, including the followings:

  1. Saturday Fajar Khatirah (Every Saturday) 
  2. Sister's Halaqa (Every Tuesday)  
  3. Learn Arabic - Arabic class (Every Monday)
  4. Sunday School (Every Sunday and Wednesday)
Praying to Allah SWT, worshiping to Him can never be stopped by any means. We may not be able to get together to fulfill the sunnah of Rasul (sm), but still we can pray to Him at home to fulfill the Fard. So please stay at home and pray at home even more. 

We will continue to hold some more virtual/live sessions on our Facebook page through out this situation until our regular activities resume at the Masjid Premises.
